Subaru Starlink App Greyed Out

Hey all, if you're having problems with starlink remote control features, and (a) you've already set up your pin, and (b) you know you shouldn't be, then: That's a shame, because subaru's own clunky starlink app isn't quite ready for prime time.

Subaru starlink app greyed out. But i realized my iphone only had the mysubaru app, not the starlink app. Somewhere along the way i lost my phone book. The system is slow to respond and prone to freezing, locking drivers out of certain features.

Subaru introduced the starlink infotainment system for select 2016 models and it's been heavily criticized. So it isn't just subaru. The starlink app is a badly designed “launcher” of a small handful of compatible streaming entertainment apps.

I can't press the starlink icon in the car and it won't pair my phone either. First look up how to enable developer options on your phone. Magellan nav is supposedly one of them.

Putt is enough to drive me crazy. It does nothing, does not work at all. You mentioned you can use the mysubaru app to lock and unlock so your starlink cellular system is working fine.

My android auto has worked from day 1. I haven't been able to pair my phone to the car and starlink app on my car is greyed out. Being cloud based, you use your own data allowance.

The starlink app is required to enjoy starlink multimedia content from your mobile device in your subaru. The aa app remains greyed out. Now, i have a 2015 subaru legacy with the nav system, but only a galaxy note 2 and the app for mirror link on my phone just crashes out.

Kill the app or otherwise shut it down. I tried the subaru starlink, and that “works” but the phone bluetooth works better imo. I found this while looking up this common problem on other cars.

Usb is the only connection used by androidauto (and carplay) in the subaru system. Subaru android auto greyed out trying to use androud auto but the buttons on the cars screen are grayed out and cant use favorites, dial pad, phonebook etc. Today as i was driving i plugged in my phone to use carplay but it remained grayed out.

I get nothing on screen in the app. You can utilize subaru starlink for subscribed vehicles, access vehicle service reminders, and stay up to date with subaru events with a swipe and a tap!
